FOCUS

Mr. Kunsman practices extensively in general civil litigation, real estate and landlord-tenant matters.  He has appeared in the Licking County Municipal and Common Pleas Courts representing landlords, financing companies and tenants in eviction and foreclosure proceedings.

Mr. Kunsman appears regularly before the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Columbus, Ohio representing our clients in both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy proceedings.  In addition, Mr. Kunsman has represented debtors and creditors in Licking County in debt collection and garnishment proceedings.

Mr. Kunsman has counseling our clients on estate planning and probate issues and drafts wills, powers of attorney, healthcare proxies, advanced directives, living wills, deeds and real estate transfer on death affidavits.

Mr. Kunsman also regularly defends clients accused in both misdemeanor and felony criminal matters.  Mr. Kunsman meets with clients outside of regular business hours both in our offices and at the Licking County Justice Center.  

In addition, Mr. Kunsman has appeared extensively in the Licking County Common Pleas Court, Domestic Relations Division successfully negotiating and arguing divorces, dissolutions, child custody and child support enforcement matters.

GENERAL BACKGROUND

Mr. Kunsman grew up in Bryan, Ohio, a small town in far, northwest Ohio.  Coming to central Ohio to attend The Ohio State University, Mr. Kunsman met his wife, Julie, a Newark native, in 2004.  Mr. Kunsman resides in Newark with his wife and daughter.
